Path suspended by metal crossings and a suspension bridge of 54mtrs that crosses the impressive ravine of the Almanchares river, Sierra Almijara, Tejeda, and Alhama Natural Park.
The karst nature of this massif and the erosion of the water have served to create a place of great beauty, which the locals know as La Rahíge (or Rahíje).
Today this section is recently restored and is known as the ‘Caminito del Rey de la Axarquía’. We will rest in a natural pool of crystalline water, where we will cool off and disguise ourselves as an ecopicnic.
On the way back we will visit one of the most beautiful villages in Spain ‘Canillas de Aceituno’, immersed in its Andalusian Mozarabic art. We will also recognize aromatic plants, traditional crops, and if we are lucky we will see wild goats.
